The official model test

• You can download the model test for the A1–A2 and A2–B1 combinations: reading and writing with answers, the speaking and listening tasks, and the audio files.
• Do it once without help and with a stopwatch – you will see where you stand.
• A model test cannot score your speaking. That is what our mock exam is for – and it has its own listening texts.

How our mock exam works

1. 1Choose a set: set 1 is free, sets 2 to 5 come with testfide Plus.
2. 2Part 1, speaking: describe a picture and make a phone call (A2), then choose, as in the test, whether to go on with B1 – record up to 3 minutes each.
3. 3Part 2, listening: short everyday texts, each played at most twice – choose the right picture (A2) and, at B1, also answer questions.
4. 4Part 3, reading and writing (60 minutes) in the combination you choose: A1–A2 or A2–B1.
5. 5Results: marks for each guiding point in your texts, an estimated level for speaking, and instant answers for listening and reading.

Listening, reading and the A1–A2 tasks are checked instantly. AI feedback on texts and recordings is free for 2 texts and 1 recording a day after a quick Google sign-in.

How it differs from the real test

• Nobody talks to you in the speaking part. In the phone call and the conversation, answer as if the examiners were speaking to you.
• In the real test you answer the B1 listening questions out loud; here you note your answer and compare it with the solution.
• The AI estimate is not an official result. It shows whether you are close to your target and what to improve.

Is the testfide mock exam official?

No. testfide.com is an independent practice site. The tasks are our own, in the format of the fide test.

How often can I take the mock exam?

You can repeat set 1 as often as you like; listening, reading and the A1–A2 tasks are checked instantly. Free AI feedback is limited to 2 texts and 1 recording a day. testfide Plus adds four more sets and up to 20 texts and 10 recordings a day – enough to have a whole mock exam scored.
